The Statesboro Police Department has made a second arrest in an incident of armed robbery that occurred on 8/1.

On 8/15, Paul Lambert surrendered himself to police custody at the Statesboro Police Department. He was transported to the Bulloch County Jail where he awaits further court action.

On 8/8, the above suspect’s brother, Matthew Lambert, surrendered himself to police custody in Screven County. He was turned over to Statesboro Police custody and transported to the Bulloch County Jail to await further court action.

On 8/1, at approximately 11:56 pm, officers of the Statesboro Police Department responded to the EnMarket gas station on Northside Drive West in reference to an armed robbery that occurred in the parking lot. The victim advised that he had been robbed at gunpoint by an unknown male suspect after exiting the store and that the suspect fled the scene in a dark sedan driven by a second male suspect. Officers patrolled the surrounding area, but did not locate the vehicle or suspects.

No injuries were reported and the case was turned over to detectives in the Criminal Investigations Division for investigation.

Through investigative work, Statesboro Police Department detectives and Patrol Bureau officers identified 2 suspects, listed above, in this incident. Warrants were taken out for their arrests on charges related to the incident.
