Drug Transaction gone Bad at Grove Apartments

In what appears to be a drug transaction gone bad in the parking lot of the Grove Apartments on Brampton Avenue, the Statesboro Police Department is investigating a murder that occurred on 3/9/17.

On 3/9/17 at approximately 10:52 PM, officers of the Statesboro Police Department responded to the Grove Apartments after receiving notification of gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, officers began an investigation and located a victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers rendered first aid until medical personnel arrived. The Coroner later arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

Detectives of Statesboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau responded to the scene and the investigation was turned over to them. This case is still under investigation and no further information is being released at this time.
