The Statesboro Police Department arrested 3 suspects on charges related to an incident of Aggravated Assault at a gas station and related to gang activity.

On 10/6/2017, officers of the Statesboro Police Department responded to a call regarding shots being fired at the Parkers Endzone, a local gas station on Lanier Drive.

The incident was turned over to detectives of the Statesboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau. Further investigation revealed the incident was the result of criminal gang activity and the involvement of the suspects listed below. Detectives secured warrants for their arrest.

Due to the potential risk related to the wanted subjects being armed the Statesboro Police Department’s Emergency Response Team (SWAT) served the warrants at 8:30 this morning, resulting in the arrest of Willie Locue, Josia Jones and Christopher Nance. The subjects were arrested without incident.

Chief Mike Broadhead said, “The hard work of our detectives has once again helped to keep our city safe. Our ERT, working in conjunction with members of the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office’s Tactical Team, were able to take potentially dangerous subjects off the street safely. We are committed to doing all we can to end gang violence and to actively seek out those who choose to use firearms to commit crimes.”

The suspects were transported to the Bulloch County Jail to await further court action.
